Milled from solid brass, the ystudio Classic has a sturdy heft and elegant design. Over time, the brass oxidizes as it gains 'experience.' The brassing could be removed using polish or left as-is if the effect pleases you. On the models with a lacquer finish, the color can be removed using the included sheet of sandpaper. The exposed brass underneath gives your pen an unique identity and personality.

Pulling off the friction fit, snap cap reveals the tapered, brass grip section and the number 5, gold-plated, stainless steel nib manufactured by Schmidt (Germany). The fountain pen fills using an international ink cartridge or converter (both included).
