The Scribo La Dotta collection honors the rich history and heritage of Scribo's home in Bologna, Italy. This 2023 limited edition collection highlights Bologna's architectural monuments created in the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
The Scribo La Dotta Turrita reimagines the 180 turrets built in Bologna, a medieval precursor to the cities we see today. A blend of reddish brown Diamondcast resin shimmers with real, conflict-free diamond dust. Scribo pairs polished ruthenium trim and a ruthenium-finished nib with this earthy-colored pen.
Similarly to the city that inspired it, La Dotta is characterized by a sinuous, rounded appearance. To achieve this shape, SCRIBO removed the facets from their first model, the "Feel," to accentuate the smoothness and grace of the pen's gently curving profile. As with the Feel, La Dotta also has a well-balanced design and a high-quality writing experience.

In the early Middle Ages, between the 11th and 13th centuries, dozens of towers were built in Bologna, reaching more than 100. Bologna, at that time, appeared as a veritable “selva turrita”, a wild turreted city, like a modern-day Manhattan, but older by almost a millennium.
